JBPT are proud to be offering an exercise class that hits the upper body using resistance bands and body weight exercises in just 30 minutes.  Upper Body Strength runs every Friday morning between 06:30 - 07:00am at the Lydiard Millicent Village Hall.

Many of us know the importance of resistance exercise but would rather not go to the gym and lack the motivation to workout at home. However a balance of upper and lower body resistance exercise is crucial to maximise the benefits to the metabolism, aesthetics and mobility. 

Resistance tubes are made of strong, thin rubber with handles at the end, and come in a variety of resistances depending on your fitness level. With resistance tubes, you can do just about any type of strength training exercise -- chest presses, rows, shoulder presses, tricep extensions, bicep curls, and even squats -- without the need for heavy weights.

This 30mins express class uses body weight exercises and only one piece of equipment, resistance tubes, to tone and strengthen the arms, chest, shoulders and obliques. A combination of high repetitions and short rest intervals will raise your heartrate and add a cardio element to further boost the effectiveness of this express format class which is perfect for busy professionals.
